How to make homemade butter!
ingredient:
- 500 ml pasteurized crème fraîche or crème fraîche
- salt to taste or dried herbs
Preparation :
- In a blender or food processor, add the crème fraîche and whisk until it becomes a thick paste like butter.
- If you are using a mixer, you will need to switch it off and shake it a few times to keep the mixture mixing well.
- Pass it through a strainer to separate the whey from the milk: what remains is butter.
- Season with good quality salt (Himalayan salt, for example), your favorite herbs, or leave it unsalted.
- It’s a good idea to put the butter on parchment paper and press it with the back of a spoon to remove more liquid.
- Store it in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container for up to 10 days.
