Shocking details about the death of Lisa Marie Presley. Why the family refused to be resuscitated at the hospital

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died on Thursday, at the age of 54. Lisa Marie Presley died of a second cardiac arrest while in the hospital. The family signed a „do not resuscitate” order.

The only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, aged 54, was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning, after being found by the housekeeper collapsed in her house in Calabasas.

The doctors who arrived at her home managed to revive her and she regained her pulse, but she became brain dead upon arrival at the hospital, TMZ reported on Friday.

The family rushed to her bed, where she was in an induced coma and on life support. After learning that he was already brain dead, they signed a „do not resuscitate” order.

According to information, Elvis Presley’s daughter would have wanted this. She suffered a second cardiac arrest and died.
Her mother Priscilla, aged 77, was at her bedside.

„It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday evening.

„She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Ex-husband Danny Keough – the first of the four, with whom she lived – had returned to the house shortly after she collapsed and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Keough is the father of his actress daughter Riley, aged 33, and son Benjamin, who took his own life in July 2020, aged 27. Her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood, is the father of 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper Vivienne and Finlay.

Lisa Marie had become withdrawn since the death of her son, but she appeared in little thanks to the success of the Baz Luhrmann biopic, Elvis, which she loved. She was present at the Golden Globes two days before her death to congratulate Austin Butler for best actor for the role of her father.

And on Sunday, the singer-songwriter told a devout crowd at her father’s Memphis estate that they were „the only people who can get me out of the house,” to mark her 88th birthday.

Fans said the daughter of the king of rock and roll, who has not posted on Instagram since August, looked „incredibly sad” and „very hurt”, two years after the suicide of her son Benjamin Keough, who is being buried with Elvis at Graceland.

Two days later, she broke down in tears at the Golden Globes during Austin Butler’s speech for his portrayal of Elvis.

At Graceland on Sunday, Lisa Marie said, “It’s been a while. I missed you. I love you. I keep saying that you are the only people who can get me out of the house. I’m not kidding. I love you and that’s why I’m here.

„Today, he would have turned 88, it’s hard to believe. I think he would have been proud, I think this year was an incredible year. I think the movie was incredible and I’m very proud of it, I hope you guys are too.
„It’s so exciting that every year you come from all over the world for me and my family and thank you.”

On Tuesday, the star was seen crying with her mother Priscilla, aged 77, during the Golden Globes.

They put their hands to their eyes and then to their hearts as actor Austin Butler, who won best actor for his role as Lisa Marie’s father in the biopic Elvis, told them he would love them „forever”.

She was previously active on Instagram, posting regular photos of her family, but hasn’t posted anything since August. Lisa Marie married guitarist Keough after meeting as teenagers at a drug rehabilitation center. They had two children, Benjamin and Riley.

They divorced in 1994 in the Dominican Republic a few days before she eloped with Michael Jackson after Jackson, Lisa Marie became engaged to musician John Oszajca in 2000, but called off the engagement after meeting actor Nicolas Cage at a party.

She and Cage married in August 2002, only to divorce three months later.

Lisa Marie then settled down with another musician, guitarist Michael Lockwood. They married in 2006 and had twins together, but divorced ten years later after Lisa Marie falsely claimed she found hundreds of images of child pornography on his computer.

Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland – where Elvis himself lived – and will be buried next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in 2020.
