Elton John’s Last 5-Word Announcement After More Than 50 Years Is Breaking Hearts

If you haven’t been living under a very thick rock, you presumably already know that Elton John is ending his long and successful career as a touring musician.

The Rocket Man’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” farewell tour, which he began in 2018, came to a devastating end this past Saturday.

John’s final performance took place on July 8 at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, according to his official website. The renowned musician has recently made hints that we might hear from him again.

According to CNN, the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour” was originally scheduled to end in 2021, but the COVID-19 epidemic has prompted organizers to reconsider.

Instead, John’s touring career, which lasted the larger part of the previous 50 years, came to an end this past Saturday.

On this tour, there were almost 300 shows. According to John’s website, more than 6 million viewers from around the world tuned in to the shows.

In 2018, John said to CNN’s Anderson Cooper that his main reason for quitting touring was to spend more time with his family, which included his wife David Furnish and their two sons.

The star of Your Song explained to Cooper, “We had children and had changed our life, and in 2015, we sat down with their school schedule and we thought I’m going to miss too much of this.

A chapter in one of the most illustrious musical careers in history came to a close over the course of John’s final performance tour, making it an emotional weekend.

In an Instagram video he posted on Saturday, right before his performance in Stockholm, Elton included a segment from his conversation with Cooper. John wrote the following as the image’s caption:

“What a journey this tour has been, and here we are at its conclusion. The last night is tonight.

Elton assured the Stockholm audience that they will always be in his “head, heart, and soul” after the concert.

Additionally, he reiterated that he will “never be touring again,” but he did leave the door open to performing a “one-off thing” in the future.

We know that we are not the only ones who will greatly miss Elton John. Are you one of the supporters?
