Country music singer Luke Bell was found dead after he had gone missing earlier this month in the southwestern state of Arizona.
Bell had a history of disappearing, according to his business manager Brian Buchanan in a statement to celebrity gossip platform TMZ.
It was also revealed that Bell had spent years battling severe bipolar disorder, which his agent stated contributed to his untimely death.
Buchanan revealed that Bell had been trying to treat his bipolar disorder. He had even been recently prescribed new medication in his ongoing effort to combat the mental health disorder.
However, the medication was too little, too late, and was not enough to stop Bell from taking his own life after he went missing in Arizona earlier this month.
Despite Bell’s best efforts and the efforts of the support system around him, he was not able to make his mental health anguish a workable situation and perished as a result of the condition.
Buchana said, “Luke fought this as hard as he could, but the disease got the better of him. When he was beating the disease, he was the sweetest and most generous guy. He’s found peace now, and there’s some comfort.”
Every time Bell had disappeared in the past, his team was always able to track him down and stop him from hurting himself before it was too late. This time, he was not able to get rescued.
Police reported that Bell went missing one night in August 2022 after grabbing a bite to eat with his musician friend Matt Kinman. Bell’s body was discovered in Tucson, Arizona, according to local police familiar with the case. Both Bell and Kinman had been in Tucson to play music for their fans.
Reports reveal that Kinman (above left) searched for Bell (above right) for ten days before his body was found. Although bipolar disorder can lead to suicide due to bouts of severe depression, police did not reveal Bell’s cause of death yet. They are going to conduct an autopsy to get the exact cause of death and will then reveal it to determine exactly how Bell died after he went missing.
The investigation into Bell’s death remains active, but the coroner’s office for the city of Tucson confirmed that the day of his death was August 26, 2022.
Following the discovery of Bell’s body, Saving Country Music reported that Bell’s closest friends had been worried for his well-being since they had not heard from him or seen him starting on August 20, 2022.
Kinman spent time with Bell right before the country music singer disappeared.
“We came down here to Arizona to work down here, play some music, and he just took off,” Kinman said. “He was in the back of the truck. I went in to get something to eat. I came out, and he’d got out of the truck and left.”
Kinman had been supporting Bell for the last few years and noticed that Bell recently changed the medication that he took for bipolar disorder.
