Incredible case in a hospital! The woman went to the doctor because her stomach hurtWhat the doctors found in the woman’s abdomen is terrifying.

Surgeons from Mavromati Hospital removed a tumor weighing over 24 kilograms from a woman’s abdomen. The 42-year-old woman arrived at the hospital complaining of abdominal pain and difficulty breathing.

Although doctors immediately decided to surgically remove the tumor, the operation was complicated by the woman’s infection with the SARS-Cov2 virus and the lack of beds in the ICU.

What is outrageous is that the doctors had to wait for another patient’s death to free up a bed in the intensive care unit.

The 42-year-old woman presented to the hospital with a feeling of suffocation and intense abdominal pain, and an ultrasound revealed a giant tumor in her uterus.

In fact, the patient had reached a weight of 157 kilograms and was classified as morbidly obese.

Following an ultrasound examination, doctors discovered a giant tumor in her uterus, and the woman, who weighed over 150 kilograms, underwent surgery.

After a difficult operation, the surgeons managed to remove an ovarian tumor weighing over 24 kilograms.

The woman was then admitted to the intensive care unit for monitoring, as she was also diagnosed with COVID upon admission.

„It was an extremely difficult operation, given the size of the tumor and the fact that the patient was COVID positive, so an additional set of protective measures was needed.

Fortunately, the surgery went very well, and the patient was subsequently transferred to the ICU, stable but in serious condition due to respiratory illness.

„As you can see, the doctors at Mavromati are not coming to work to kill patients, as some say,” said surgeon Iulian Preda, who led the surgical team, according to stiri.botosani.ro.

„We waited for the chance to be able to operate on her, to take her into the operating room, and after the operation, she needed a place in the ICU for COVID-positive patients.

In other words, we waited for a patient to die in the ICU so that we could operate on her, and after the operation, the patient needed to be admitted to the ICU with COVID. (…)

The patient was suffocating for two reasons: one was COVID and the other was the tumor in her abdominal cavity,” Preda said.

Dr. Iulian Preda stated that this is the largest tumor he has removed in his professional career.

„This is the largest tumor I have operated on by hand.

I had one that was around 20 kilograms, but I couldn’t prove it because I didn’t have a scale, and another one a few years ago that was around 17 kilograms. (…)

The patient blames the disease for four months. I say it has been developing for several years, but the patient says she has been feeling sick for four months,” Preda added.

The doctor stated that the patient’s condition is currently good, and she is expected to be discharged from the COVID-19 ICU on Monday and transferred to another section of the hospital.
