Sometimes justice is spicy. It’s also satisfying when you finally get to win over your opponent. For this Redditor however, there were no victory laps as his opponent turned out to be a 9-year-old boy.
OP stated that his place of work was in a hangar where they shared a kitchen with other workshops.
When he placed his food in a shared fridge, he’d often find bites taken out of it and the rest left behind.

OP thought it was a one-time thing but when it happened again, he decided to take action. He got some Carolina Reaper sauce (which is enough to clear out your sinuses and memory-wipe your brain) and smeared it all over his sandwich.
to be safe, he even left a note saying that his sandwich contained spice and that whoever stole it would be responsible for their state.

When he returned, all hell had broke loose. A woman and child were hysterical.
He finally had revenge on his sandwich thief who turned out to be the cleaner’s 9-year-old son. He had been accompanying her during his break and ended up stealing from OP.
Having eaten a Carolina Reaper, he was clearly in distress. OP explained what had happened to help clear the air.
While the cleaner was relieved nothing was wrong, she turned her guns on OP and accused him of harming her son. She then reported him to the landlord.
Other workshops also sided with the cleaner and OP was given a month to find a new place to move to.
OP’s work friends were also upset at having to move due to his actions. OP maintains that he’s innocent in all this since he could never have known the thief was a child.

He also clarified that the child was not harmed and that the sauce was simply just spicy and uncomfortable to eat.
Commenters were shaking their head at the fact that OP confessed to his elaborate scheme.
Others even wondered why everyone overreacted to this extent.
Others felt OP was right and that even at 9 the boy should have known that stealing was wrong.
